The Old Mill

One of the most popular and oldest attractions in Pigeon Forge is the Old Mill. The Old Mill dates back to the early 1800’s and has played a vital role in the early development of the city providing the residences with meal and flour. It even provided electricity to the whole town up until the late 1930’s.  The Old Mill’s massive water wheel harnesses the power of the Little Pigeon River to grind grain and is capable of producing nearly 1,000 pounds of product per day when in use. The grain that is produced is still used to this day in many recipes at the Old Mill Restaurant located adjacent to the mill.
